Ingersoll Rand 54672530 Air Filter Element — N55/N75 Screw Compressor Intake Filter

54672530 is a genuine Ingersoll Rand air filter element engineered for N55 and N75 series screw air compressors. Its high-efficiency synthetic fiberglass media captures dust and particulate before it reaches the airend, protecting rotors, bearings and shaft seals while supporting stable compressor performance.

The element is a large cylindrical pleated cartridge with a red polyurethane (PU) end-cap seal. It is cross-referenced to HiFi Filter SA17281 and is also compatible with several Atlas Copco part numbers (see Related Parts below).

Performance & Fitment Details

Designed for continuous industrial duty, the 54672530 delivers low initial resistance and high dust-holding capacity. Rated airflow is approximately 10–13 Nm³/min, matching 55–75 kW compressor packages. Operating differential pressure typically sits between 350 and 600 Pa; alarm at 700 Pa, and replace at 900 Pa. Every 100 Pa of inlet pressure loss adds roughly 0.3% to specific power consumption, so timely replacement protects energy efficiency.

The element is rated for –20 °C to +80 °C continuous operation (short-term peak 100 °C) and up to 95% RH without condensation. Collapse pressure resistance is ≥ 4.0 kPa. Shelf life in original sealed packaging is 36 months in a dry, ambient environment.

Standards referenced: ISO 5011, ISO 16890 / EN 779, GB/T 14295, GB/T 6165.

Installation & Maintenance

Always isolate and lock out the compressor before service. Open the filter housing, remove the old element, and wipe the housing and sealing surfaces clean. Verify the new 54672530 for correct part number, intact media and undamaged red seal. Seat the element vertically with both seals fully engaged, refit the cover, and tighten fasteners evenly. After restart, check for air leaks at the housing.

Replace immediately if the media is visibly darkened or heavily loaded, if differential pressure reaches 900 Pa, or at the scheduled interval — whichever comes first. In high-dust environments, shorten the interval to 2000–3000 hours.
